The most over used phrase in this blog is "time is going by too fast." So, uh...time is going by way too fast!
Miss E is three months old today. She rang in her 3 month birthday by sleeping from 8pm-3:30am, back down by 4:10am and up again at 7:30am! She's spoiling me!
Eating: You are eating 4 ounces every three hours. Occasionally you’ll
enjoy a 5 oz bottle. Your first feeding during the night is always a 5 oz
bottle; most nights you finish it.
Size: Eh, I’m guessing close to 11-11.5lbs. You’re fully in 3 month
clothes now. People still comment all the time about how small you are.
Eyes: I still have no idea. I’m thinking they will be green or hazel.
They’re definitely not blue nor are they
dark brown like your siblings.
Sleep: You turned a corner around 10 weeks. You started to sleep from
8-1, then 8-1:30, 8-2, 8-2:30 and just last night you slept from 8-3:30. Hallelujah.
Thank you Sweet baby Jesus! You are still sleeping in the Rock and Play sleeper
(RNP) at night. We try to put you in your crib for naps, but you usually wake
up after 20-40 minutes thus making me wish I had just put you in the RNP to
start with.
About
the time you started sleeping in longer stretches at night, you started taking
a long afternoon nap, usually from 2 until 4 or 4:30.
You get
swaddled about 50% of the time. Sometimes during the night time feedings you
get really squirmy. I’ve found that swaddling you helps keep you still, which
means you don’t wake yourself up as much and ultimately helps you fall back
asleep quicker.
About
once or twice a week you’ll have a night time feeding where it takes me an hour
or longer to get you back to sleep.
Paci: Yes ma’am. You discovered your hands this month; it’s not
uncommon to see you sucking on your fists.
Likes: Being held. Snuggles and being rocked. Being held. Glow worm
and Brown bear (thanks to my Cousin for introducing us to these two “friends”).
Being held. Being outside. The bath. Being held. Getting out of the house; everywhere
we go with you, you seem to just roll with it. You sleep well, eat well, and
are easily entertained when we are out and about.
Dislikes: Waiting for food. Not being held. Being bored. Not being held.
Notice
a trend??
You are
such a great addition to our family; you definitely complete us. The best
compliment I have received yet is that we make having three kids look easy. Your
smile makes everyone this house happy. We can’t wait for the many more treats
you have in store for us.
