Today marks the one year ....anniversary... of Nicole's death. As I said in the title of this post, there really are no words that can explain how we feel, how Matt feels, how his mom and dad feels, how Nicole's close friends feel. A whole year without hearing her say "whazzzz up" or hearing her "Nicole" laugh or seeing a smile on her face.
As for Matt, he's no where closer to dealing with his grief then he was a year ago. In some ways I feel that he hasn't even let it sink in that his best friend, Heejun, is gone as well because he's still dealing with the devastation of losing his sister. But this is not really the place for me to talk about Matt and how he feels, other than completely lost some days.

Remember the good times, and celebrate what she brought to the lives she touched. Then 'anniversary' can take whatever meaning you choose.
