So she is fairly proportionate.
The pediatrician was very impressed with her verbal skills. While she only says a handful of words (and it's rare, but does say them)...she's babbling in complete sentences
Now for the not so hot part...Savannah isn't walking or crawling. While I know some kids don't crawl by the text book sense of the word, Savannah isn't getting up on all 4s, won't even try to. She has a weird way of scooting. It gets her from here to there, but the doctor said she didn't think she'd actually ever seen someone get around that way.
In fact it's just been in the last week that we've started to find her sitting up in her bed as opposed to laying there awake. In other words she has just started to sit up from a laying position. She never rolled with a purpose and in fact she doesn't roll often. When she does it's almost as if it's a fluke.
While the pediatrician has never noticed anything wrong with her hips, she wants us to meet with a pediatric orthopedic to have them take a look and do a few xrays. She does not think there is anything wrong with her but from a medical perspective she wants to have her thoroughly checked out.
We both agreed that being mobile is probably not something that really interests Savannah. She's excelling in the verbal department and that is most likely where her interest lies and that is where she puts most of her energy. Honestly I think she's looking at 3 months if not longer before she'd be walking.
Her appointment with the orthopedic is scheduled for October 2. I'll be sure to update with the results.

Sunday we were driving in the car and Caedmon started to sing the Little Einstein's theme song. So he's singing along ... "we're going on a trip in our favorite rocket ship, zooming through the sky Little Einsteins. Climb aboard get ready to explore, there's so much to find Little Einsteins...", then we hear "coming up next on Playhouse Disney"!
He didn't miss a beat. Matt and I cracked up the rest of the ride home.

All kids scoot...she has just found a way to do it that's never been done before. :-)
Consider it a good thing that the doctor likes to be cautious and you got something besides 'We'll keep an eye on it and see how she does for the next six months." She's a perfect blend of her mommy (all talk) and daddy (little action) ha ha ha....just kidding Matt. You know we love you.
Just keep a positive attitude and know that it will work out! I like your bog and will be back.
