Heejun Kim
July 18, 1978 - August 9, 2008
They met in 6th grade. The two were inseparable. They lived across the street from the other. Heejun was the conscience Matt lacked, maybe because he was the older and wiser friend. As time went by, they went their own ways...but you could always fine the two of them together on Superbowl Sunday, trying to make their own secret recipe Hot Wings.

Motorcycles....it was something they both loved. Heejun was a natural; Matt - not so much. The pictures below were taken the day Matt totaled his three month old baby by careening down the side of a mountain.

When Savannah was born we made the decision to ask Heejun and Erica to be her Godparents.

What went wrong that day on the motorcycle? Why Heejun? What Now? There are so many things in life we don't understand and why Heejun had to leave us so soon is one thing we will never know the answer to.

I am sooo sorry to hear about the loss of Matt's best friend, Heejun. Hugs to everyone.
