Okay I don't think I've been this excited for Christmas in YEARS. Caedmon totally gets presents and we're working with him on understanding Christmas, etc. Savannah totally gets unwrapping presents and stealing Caedmon's toys....so it should really be a good time this year.
I'd love to post pictures from the weekend, but Matt did the packing and left my camera at the Lake House.
Friday night we went to Meadow Lights outside of Benson (it was a LONG, nerve wracking trip for me as a result of Savannah crying the entire trip and being stuck in traffic only made my anxiety shoot through the roof). They both loved the train ride around the lighted field. Caedmon hopped right on Santa's lap and Savannah did what she does best....SCREAMED!!! The picture is priceless (I'll try to get a copy of it up). The best part of the trip by far was after we got off the train ride and Caedmon hugged me and said "that was fun Mommy, thank you so much"....melted my heart!
Saturday and Sunday were spent putting decorations up at the lake house and getting ready for this week. Caedmon had a blast at the lake house. He cried and tried to hide from us when we told him we had to leave.
We had a mini-Christmas dinner at our house last night with Matt's Dad, his Girlfriend and Erica (Savannah's Godmother). It was nice just to hang out and enjoy the kids and good company.
Oh yeah, way to go GIANTS!
